My second critique.

The theme isn't very clear at first, but upon close inspection one can see how the onlookers react to a traditional Chinese celebration, their faces showing a sense of unfamiliarity, as if the dance belongs to a foreign land only and does not really have a place here. (I'm not saying that they're racist or anything, just a sense of unfamilarity.)

Originality-wise, this theme isn't very new and is present anywhere people of different cultural backgrounds are. No particular technique is shown in the photograph to emphasize anything, unless you count taking the picture from a higher vantage point than the onlookers in the picture, which still isn't much. The impact is not present unless you know what to look for, so it's more or less a split.

Not related to critique, but those lion costumes are Southern. The Northern Chinese variety has its entire body covered in fur, while these have fur in a wavy pattern. Just FYI.
